Finding that perfect summer dress for you!

Summer is coming and who doesn’t like the way a summer dress makes you feel??? Honestly I love summer dresses, I feel cute and girly and like I’m in Mamma Mia or Monte Carlo or something lol.

So I have gone and decided to find a dress that is just for you. Now I understand not all of my readers are in the southern hemisphere but now you know how it feels to be us when all the adorable winter and autumn fashion comes out and we can’t relate!

Now I get not everyone likes a very feminine vibe but honestly, anyone can and should wear a summer dress. You will look cute, I promise!

I shouldn’t even be shopping myself considering that I’m moving to London in two and a half months and I will be freezing my bum off for three years. But yolo, it don’t matter, as long as I’m happy lol. I’ll definitely be using my finds this summer for European summer next year!

Also, fashion in Cape Town is expensive, I don’t know why but it is and it’s annoying. I have made sure to include all price ranges but it’s always good to spoil yourself once in a while. It could also be a birthday present idea or a Christmas gift (that you can hopefully get early).

I’ve also included local brands as well as international.

1. Georgie Rattle Apparel

Now I understand this is quite formal but the vibes though??? You can dress this up or down and having a LBD is vital for one’s wardrobe. Georgie also does custom dresses so you can bring your summer dress vision to life. Check out her website linked above or her insta @georgierattle_apparel

2. Zara

Zara holds a special place in my heart. I went through their website and holy moly they have a lot of dress options! They have all kinds of styles but I’m going to link the one’s I found to be the cutest!

This dress. I can’t. I’m not a fan of yellow but if you can pull this off then you will fr look like a glowing goddess. Imagine yourself at a cute-ass picnic with your friends, eating fresh fruit and just GLOWING. What more can you ask for?

3. Mr Price

Often people are standoffish to Mr Price but honestly, if you find something cute there, buy it! I understand that not all of their products are of the best quality but feeling cute doesn’t have a price tag.

Lilac is IN this summer. This adorable off the shoulder number would look gorgeous at sunset drinks with the gals! This can be dressed up or down with sandals or heels anyone can rock this. I also found this lovely black floral velvet dress that’s just below the knees, here’s the link: https://www.mrp.com/en_za/floral-velour-bodycon-dress-1120210882

4. Wanida Boutique

These dresses make me want to be in a daisy field and twirl forever! I can go onto Wanida’s insta and watch the videos of customers twirling in their dresses all day! Shapeless dresses have come back into fashion but with this dress you can still show off your legs! This dress makes me happy just by looking at it! You can also check out Wanida Boutique at the Biscuit Mill on a Saturday and find some other lovely treasures.

5. Second Hand on Instagram

I feel like everyone is selling their clothing on Insta right now lol, but I’ve got a few lovely pages to recommend that also hype up other accounts! Second hand in Cape Town isn’t too great because it’s often overpriced and you can buy something brand new for the same price. But these few have great original pieces and I’ll give you their @’s below! If you also take a look at who they are following, you can also find some stunning items!
