Best things to do on a chill day

I’ve basically finished my first year of university! I can’t believe it’s gone by so quickly. I just have exams and then I’m done! I’ve been a bit lazy lately and I’m going away for the weekend today with my boyfriend and his family which I’m super excited about! I think everyone is feeling a bit drained right now so if you get to have a day off this weekend, take it easy.

Depending on your country and its weather, there is still a bunch to do, whether you want to stay inside or go outside for a lovely day. Personally, on my off days I don’t really like to see a bunch of people, I’d either like to be by myself or with a friend and we can chill.

I watched Coco last night with my boyf and while I did ball my eyes out, it was such a beautiful and wholesome movie that I’d watch it again lol. So I think watching a movie is a great idea! Watch what comforts you and what will make you smile! I know I watched a movie that made me cry but it was so comforting and special that everything else going on melts away. Grab some popcorn, some other snacks and drinks, put your pjs on and enjoy!

Bake something! Some cookies or a decadent chocolate cake (which sounds really good rn lol). You can always have this with your movie night! I definitely think I’ll bake some cookies and have a Harry Potter marathon next week because this sounds too good! Food always makes me feel better lol, so something sweet can make you feel so good! Try painting your nails or giving yourself a pamper! Listen to some soft music, have a shower or a bath, wash your hair, exfoliate, mask, wear a soft robe. This is honestly sounding like a movie but don’t forget to romanticise your life! You deserve it!!! If you can go for a spa day, go! Otherwise, you can always do it at home! I know people always go on about self-care but it’s true. You have to look after yourself and you have to start ASAP. I know I need to!

I definitely want to start doing affirmations and manifestation and try my best to feel my best always! A lot of people are struggling and we feel like we have more bad days than good sometimes but I think we need to start putting ourselves first.

I enjoy my slow days, mainly mornings, where I make myself a delicious breakfast and I take it easy. I’ve been struggling a bit lately but I think after writing this I feel more positive and that I can rest without worrying about other things. Since COVID has come into the picture I think a lot of people have been struggling mentally and when you want to rest you still feel this weight of having something you still have to do.
