I was meant to leave to London on Monday, four days away but the UK has closed its borders to South Africa. I’m honestly really disappointed, I’ve been looking forward to this for months and have been counting down the days. I don’t even know when I’m going now.
I know it’s Christmas today, so Merry Christmas and happy holidays! I know this hasn’t been the greatest year, it’s been hard, but it’s almost over. I think everyone has been through a rollercoaster of emotions, so tell your loved ones you’re thinking of them, be kind to others because you don’t know what they’ve experienced.
I hope you have a beautiful day, whether you celebrate the holiday or not. Be kind to others and remember that everyone is in a different situation! I was really excited to go and do some shopping in London, I told my dad that’s what I wanted for Christmas, because who wouldn’t want a shopping spree in London!? Although, now I don’t even know when I’m going so I decided to get myself a pair of earrings just as a little spoil and to make me feel better about not going to London, #retailtherapy!
I’ve been feeling quite down these last few days, more frustrated tbh. I listened to Affirmations Pod, particularly their one about feeling frustrated, which really summed up how I’m feeling lol. One thing I can say though, is that I’m grateful for the people in my life. I’ve made friends from university and I’m so excited to meet them! I have a lot of precious people in my life who are the best gifts I could receive.
I know we can’t celebrate like we’d want to normally this year, but just give your loved ones a call, hear their voice. Hopefully Christmas next year, we can have a blast! I really don’t know how long this pandemic business is going to go on for but I’ve had enough lol, and I’m sure you have too! I hope you stay safe and look after your health and yourself.
I really can’t believe it’s almost the end of the year, it’s gone far too fast and I’m just hoping next year will be better! I haven’t really been in the Christmas Spirit this week because of not being able to go but next week I’ll definitely post about my favourite purchases of the year!
